What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabricator/Industrial Mechanic position at Package Pavement Co Inc?
Package Pavement Company, Inc., a manufacturer and licensee of QUIKRETE® products in Stormville, NY is seeking an experienced fabricator/industrial mechanic to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain mechanical parts in our production plant and facilities, including;
- Conveyors, elevators, dryers, mixing tanks, screens, etc.
- Inspect and troubleshoot machinery to determine cause of malfunction or extent of wear or damage
- Repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electronic components of electrical equipment using standard tools and gauges
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures when performing repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Cuts and fits parts for assembly of new machinery and repair existing equipment.
- Weld and cut using Oxygen/Acetylene process procedures.
- Understands mechanics of equipment repairs and replacement of bearings, drives, and electrical motors.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams a plus.
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Vocational training a plus
- Candidate will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
- Two to five years’ experience working in industrial maintenance, including;
- pneumatics
- hydraulics
- Must have own tools
