A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:
- Essential Functions:
- Perform visual and functional inspections and audits of finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards, production specifications, and customer requirements.
- Manage and maintain the Calibration Program, including:
- Maintaining the calibration database to ensure all equipment is calibrated within required intervals.
- Coordinating both internal and external calibration activities with approved vendors.
- Performing calibration and Round Robin testing on approximately 10-15 onsite meter test panels.
- Reviewing and approving calibration data provided by contract manufacturers and issuing corresponding certificates.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and support Incoming Inspection activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) materials.
- Initiate Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming materials and facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as required.
- Assist with compiling, reviewing and reporting customer feedback for trends and continuous improvement.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of meter structure, manufacture, testing and repair.
- Support Quality Engineers in investigations related to internal and external product and process nonconformances.
- Assist in maintaining site compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and certification requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Required:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Technician within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001:2015-certified (or equivalent) Quality Management System.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
- Awareness and understanding of Quality principles, methods and concepts.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of SalesForce.com, SAP and Microsoft PBI are most beneficial.
