HTI is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Specialist (2nd Shift) with a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer in Dallas, NC. This position will focus on developing and launching new molding processes from the ground up while supporting production operations, process optimization, tooling validation, and continuous improvement initiatives within the molding department. This is a Direct Hire opportunity supporting major automotive supplier programs. This is a Direct Hire, Monday–Friday, 2nd shift opportunity. The pay range is $35.00 – $45.00/hour, depending on experience.

What You Need:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years of injection molding process experience within automotive or Tier 1 manufacturing environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Engel molding equipment, scientific molding principles, and new tool/process development from zero-start conditions
- Proven ability to troubleshoot molding defects, optimize processes, and improve part quality on large-tonnage injection molding equipment
- Experience with tooling validation, mold startups, robotics/automation systems, and process documentation
- Ability to train, mentor, and support technicians and production personnel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- RJG Master Molder certification, plastics apprenticeship, or formal molding/process training strongly preferred
What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Injection Molding Process Specialist will be responsible for developing and optimizing molding processes for new and existing tooling while supporting startup operations and ongoing production performance. This role requires a highly skilled molding professional capable of troubleshooting complex molding issues, improving quality, and supporting technical development within the plant.
- Develop and establish molding processes for new tooling from the ground up
- Program, optimize, and troubleshoot Engel injection molding machines
- Work closely with tooling teams to optimize part quality and process stability
- Diagnose and troubleshoot molding issues related to machines, molds, materials, or automation systems
- Establish and validate mold-specific processes to meet quality and cycle time targets
- Monitor part quality and make process adjustments to correct defects
- Support machine acceptance trials at supplier locations as needed
- Perform mold changes, material changes, machine startups, and process validations
- Train and mentor technicians and production personnel on molding processes and best practices
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, efficiency, and quality improvement
- Communicate mold and process conditions to tooling, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams
- Assist with process documentation, launch activities, and manufacturing records
- Support startup operations and production ramp-up activities for automotive programs
- Follow all safety protocols and promote a safety-first mindset
- Additional duties as needed and assigned
