HTI is seeking an experienced QC Deputy Manager for a new lithium-ion battery separator manufacturing facility in Denver, NC. This hands-on leader will support the Quality Manager in overseeing daily quality operations, developing the Quality team, and maintaining product and process standards as the plant expands. This is a Direct Hire Direct Hire, M-F 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM position with a salary range of $75,000 - $95,000 depending on experience.

What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- 7 years of manufacturing quality experience, including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English
- U.S. manufacturing quality experience; automotive or Tier 1 supplier experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, QMS, SPC, CAPA, Cp/Cpk, PFMEA, control plans, and structured root cause analysis
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, manage multiple priorities, and work regularly on the production floor
What Your Role Will Look Like:
The QC Deputy Manager will provide day-to-day leadership across incoming, in-process, and finished-product quality while partnering with Production, Engineering, Equipment, Maintenance, and R&D. This person will help establish consistent quality practices as additional production lines and shifts launch.
- Support the Quality Manager in directing daily QC activities across production shifts
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Quality Engineers, QC Leads, Technicians, and Inspectors
- Ensure consistent incoming, in-process, and finished-product inspections and maintain calibrated inspection equipment
- Lead customer, supplier, and internal nonconformance investigations using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and FMEA
- Oversee CAPA activity, verify effectiveness, and use SPC and inspection data to improve process capability
- Maintain the QMS and support internal, customer, supplier, and third-party audits
- Review and approve SOPs, work instructions, inspection standards, control plans, and quality reports
- Support new product introduction, process validation, engineering changes, staffing, workload planning, and continuous improvement
