Quality Engineering Manager
Location: Easley, SC
HTI is recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineering Manager to join a growing manufacturer in the Greenville area. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality leader who wants to make a lasting impact by developing a best-in-class Quality Management System, leading ISO 9001 certification efforts, and building a strong culture of quality across the organization.
This role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to improve processes, reduce defects, and ensure products consistently meet customer expectations.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Drive the company's transition to ISO 9001 certification
- Manage customer quality, supplier quality, CAPAs, NCRs, SCARs, and corrective action processes
- Develop quality metrics and KPI dashboards to monitor plant performance
- Establish inspection standards, quality control plans, and first article inspection processes
- Partner with Engineering during product development and production launches
- Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and mentor Quality Engineers, Technicians, and Inspectors
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 5 years of manufacturing quality experience
- 3 years leading quality teams
- Strong experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and certification efforts
- Experience with supplier quality, internal audits, CAPA, SPC, MSA, GD&T, and root cause analysis
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience in structural steel fabrication, welding, roll forming, or other metal manufacturing environments is highly preferred. Candidates with a strong background in manufacturing quality systems and ISO 9001 implementation from similar industrial manufacturing environments are also encouraged to apply.
