Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items, ensuring quality and presentation meet established standards
• Assist with food preparation, including slicing, plating, and garnishing dishes with precision and care
• Maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
• Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper handling of all food items
• Operate kitchen equipment such as toasters, coffee machines, ovens, and warming stations safely and efficiently
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while providing friendly in-person customer service
• Restock buffet stations and assist with cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards throughout the breakfast service
• Handle weight-based food handling tasks carefully, adhering to manual handling guidelines to ensure safety and efficiency
• Support catering or banquet setups when required, contributing to large-scale or special event breakfast services

Skills

• Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant environments with a focus on breakfast or food service roles
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in person
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing portion sizes
• Knowledge of wine pairing or beverage service is a plus but not required
• Experience with POS systems for order processing and payment handling
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including weight handling in the workplace
• Previous catering or banquet experience is advantageous but not essential
• Culinary experience within the food industry that demonstrates versatility and attention to detail
