Roles & Responsibilities
Take ownership of machine builds from concept to completion while serving as a technical resource for the team.
Manage time independently while maintaining a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement
Effectively prioritize and balance multiple projects with support from team leadership
Promote and apply safety-conscious build practices at all times
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality equipment on schedule and within budget
Maintain a positive, professional attitude with customers and teammates
Communicate clearly with team members, management, and customers regarding project status, risks, and solutions
Demonstrate initiative by analyzing problems and developing practical, innovative solutions
Provide guidance and technical support to less experienced Machine Builders as needed
Build and fabricate components from blueprints, sketches, CAD, and CAM files
Operate machining equipment including lathes, grinders, drill presses, and manual Bridgeport mills
Perform fabrication and assembly using hand and power tools
Read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings and schematics
Accurately use precision measuring tools and perform calculations
Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces
Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind machine parts to specification
Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and project success
Travel Requirement:
Approximately 15–25% travel for customer support, installations, and project needs
Qualifications & Education
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
2 years of experience building industrial or automated equipment
Proven mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
Intermediate proficiency in building small to medium-sized machines
Basic to intermediate proficiency operating lathes, grinders, drill presses, and manual Bridgeport mills
Basic to intermediate proficiency using hand and power tools
Ability to accurately use measurement devices and perform precise calculations
Preferred: College or trade school certification in Machine Building, Machining, or a related field
Basic working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, reach, and use hands frequently throughout the workday
Regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 50 lbs or more
