What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Coordinator position at HRYMCA?
The Hampshire Regional YMCA is looking for a passionate childcare professional to join our leadership team! We run a high-quality afterschool care program directly in local Northampton elementary schools, and we are hiring a Site Coordinator to oversee one of our program sites. This role has the potential to be part-time OR full-time. The full-time version of this position transitions into a leadership role at one of our summer day camps when the school year ends. The part-time version of this role would be only during the school year at the afterschool site. Job Duties
- Manage all operations and oversight of our afterschool site
- Hire, train, evaluate, and coach all afterschool staff
- Communicate with afterschool program parents as needed
- Perform administrative duties relating to afterschool site
- Ensure all EEC regulations at afterschool site are met
- Assist in development of programming at summer camp
- Oversee and manage summer camp groups, including campers and counselors
Qualifications
- Must be at least 20 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field is a plus
- Significant experience with school-age children and/or summer camp
- Experience in a leadership role preferred
