Job Title: Store Janitor/Cleaning

Job Summary:

As a Cleaning Staff member at Hartville Hardware, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized environment for our customers and team members. This position involves a range of cleaning duties to uphold the store's appearance and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Store Cleaning:
   • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, to ensure a tidy and inviting shopping environment.
   • Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly, replenishing supplies as needed.
2. Trash Removal:
   • Empty and dispose of trash and recycling containers throughout the store.
   • Monitor trash levels and ensure timely disposal.
3. Floor Maintenance:
   • Clean and maintain store floors, including both carpeted and hard surfaces.
   • Identify and address spills promptly to prevent accidents.
4. Window and Glass Cleaning:
   • Clean windows and glass surfaces to provide a clear and appealing view for customers.
5. Common Area Cleaning:
   • Clean common areas such as break rooms, bathrooms and offices
   • Wipe down surfaces, tables, and chairs to maintain a clean and welcoming space.
   • Vacuum, mop, dust, sanitize
   • Sanitize drinking fountain
6. Stock Room Maintenance:
   • Assist in keeping stock rooms organized and clean to facilitate efficient inventory management.
   • Dispose of empty packaging materials and maintain a clutter-free stock area.
7. Safety Compliance:
   • Follow safety protocols and guidelines while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
   • Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is a plus.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently
• Physical ability to lift and move cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Familiarity with cleaning products and their safe usage.

Job Particulars:
Part time - 24 hours/week
Working 7pm-11pm 6 days/week Monday-Saturday
