GB Manufacturing is seeking a Metal Fabrication Engineer to join their team. They are looking for someone with experience in metal fabrication who can analyze, review and compute all efforts to determine appropriate material and labor requirements for manufacturing. You will work closely with internal departments, clients and vendors to form estimates and solve issues.

What You’ll Do:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services, applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes.
- Review data to determine the appropriate material and labor requirements for efficient manufacturing processes.
- Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes, such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
- Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
- Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and esolve issues.
- May specialize according to service performed, type of product manufactured, or phase of work involved, such as tool and fixture costs, production costs, construction costs, or material costs.
- Planning, Organizing and scheduling APQP meetings with Management support
- Knowledge of metal fabrication machine capabilities and CAD experience.
- Make Management aware of safety issues and concerns.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree Metal Fabrication or equivalent technical knowledge and background with emphasis on cost control and efficient manufacturing processes.
- 6 years of experience in the metal fabrication industry.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
