We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee the Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit. This leader will be responsible for clinical operations, patient care, and staff management, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. The Nurse Manager will collaborate with other leaders and clinical teams to advance quality initiatives, staff development, and patient satisfaction.

NICU: Level IV, 77 beds
Care Teams: Maternal Fetal Medicine, Midwifery, OB, Family Medicine
Programs: Addiction Recovery program, Doula and Cultural Navigator programs
24/7 Services: Anesthesia, Laborists, and Neonatology
Units:
Main L&D Unit (5 East): 6-bed OB ED, 14 labor rooms, 2 ORs, Charge RN, Laborist
5 South: Scheduled C-sections, overflow labor, occasional Antepartum/Postpartum overflow, Charge RN
Provide overall leadership and management of the Labor and Delivery unit.
Ensure high-quality patient care, compliance with standards, and coordination of daily clinical operations.
Develop and monitor unit-based quality improvement programs.
Establish and enforce nursing practice standards.
Serve as a patient advocate, addressing ethical, legal, and cultural concerns.
Oversee staff retention and turnover rates, implementing strategies to support a positive work environment.
Demonstrate clinical competence by assisting with patient care as needed.
Collaborate with educators and specialists to implement staff training and professional development programs.
Lead staff hiring, interviewing, and onboarding efforts.
Address staff grievances up to step-two level.
Partner with leadership to advance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and evidence-based practice changes.
Engaged, personable, and collaborative.
Able to balance responsibilities for quality, staffing, finance, and patient/caregiver experience.
Skilled at culture building, DEI initiatives, and staff development.
Comfortable working closely with a multidisciplinary leadership team.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school, or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with commitment to obtain BSN within 2 years.
Active Washington State Registered Nurse License upon hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification American Heart Association.
Minimum of 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
Masters degree in Nursing or related field.
Minimum of 1 year first-line management experience.
Experience: 2-5 years.
Seniority Level: Mid-Senior.
