We are seeking a Construction Materials Associate Principal to join our expanding Field Services Team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will oversee multiple Construction Materials Testing (CMT) projects from start to finish, including proposals, staffing, client meetings, technical reviews, and final reporting. You will also mentor junior staff and build strong client relationships while ensuring high-quality technical results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review multiple CMT projects with accountability for quality, deadlines, and budgets
- Prepare proposals, reports, and client communications
- Mentor and guide CMT staff and junior project managers
- Lead project meetings, resolve technical issues, and provide expert consulting
- Support business development by maintaining strong client relationships
- Collaborate with leadership on staffing, recruiting, and departmental growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
- Minimum 8 years of Construction Materials Testing (CMT) experience
- Proven experience reviewing and approving technical reports
- Valid driver’s license & insurance
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
- Solid understanding of ASTM testing protocols and CMT principles
