Duties
- Efficiently pick and pack orders using barcode scanning technology and RF scanners to ensure accuracy
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Load and unload shipments with proper safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Manage inventory through warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring stock levels are accurate and organized
- Prepare orders for shipment by packing items securely and labeling them correctly for distribution
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency in warehouse operations
Skills
- Experience operating warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics purposes
- Strong understanding of order picking, packing, inventory management, and materials handling procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safety standards
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving protocols, quality control measures, and warehouse distribution processes
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and order calculations
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow safety protocols consistently
