Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including moving materials and equipment
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning heavy materials and tools safely
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to support project execution
- Support erosion control measures to prevent soil displacement and environmental impact
- Operate power tools and basic equipment safely, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, perform minor repairs, and report maintenance needs promptly
- Follow all workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards, respiratory protection protocols, climbing safety procedures, and other industrial safety practices
Requirements
- Prior experience in industrial or construction environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of erosion control techniques and construction workplace safety regulations
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, climbing, manual handling, and working in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with the use of power tools and basic equipment repair skills is a plus
- Commitment to workplace safety standards, including OSHA safety standards and respiratory protection requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in safety or equipment operation are advantageous
