What are the responsibilities and job description for the SVP, Controller - Financial Services position at Hoxton Circle?
We’re supporting a high growth financial services organization on a key finance leadership hire of an SVP, Controller to oversee enterprise-level accounting operations and act as a core business partner to the CFO.
This role has been created to elevate the function, reduce the number of direct reports to the CFO, and introduce a more scalable leadership structure as the organization expands. You’ll be stepping into a high-trust position, operating across Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, and ERP transformation, with the full support of an executive team that wants to build things the right way - this is a rare opportunity to join a business that’s rethinking its top-level finance structure.
This role is based in-office 5 days per week.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading consolidated accounting, reporting, and operational finance for a complex, multi-entity structure
- Building scalable processes and controls across corporate and investment-level finance teams
- Overseeing ERP and financial systems initiatives, with a hand in evaluating and implementing new tools
- Partnering with the CFO on board and investor reporting, compliance, audit readiness, and risk
- Coaching senior managers across multiple verticals and embedding consistency across the org
What we’re looking for
- 20 years of progressive accounting experience in large, complex, multi-entity financial services firms
- CPA required; experience presenting at board/audit level
- Demonstrated ability to lead ERP/financial systems transformations
- Comfortable managing senior-level talent and influencing across C-suite
- Someone who thrives in hands-on leadership roles and wants to shape the long-term structure of a growing business
Salary : $300,000 - $450,000
