What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Hoxton Circle?
We are partnered with a high-growth marketing company seeking an up-and-coming Staff Accountant to join their growing finance team! This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional to gain hands-on experience, expand technical skills, and build a foundation for career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Manage general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.
- Handle intercompany activity and ensure proper reporting.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and properly recognize costs.
- Support audits and contribute to process improvements within accounting operations.
- Take on special projects and collaborate with the finance team to drive efficiencies.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 2–4 years of experience in GL accounting and supporting month-end close. Will look at professionals coming out of public accounting and audit!
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficiency in Excel; NetSuite experience a plus.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
