What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Hoxton Circle?
We're partnering with a high-growth, investor-backed heavy manufacturing company as they look to hire a Senior Accountant. This is a corporate accounting seat with real leadership exposure and room to grow as the business scales!
Reporting to the Controller with full-cycle accounting operations (including AR and AP, GL, month end, etc.), In this highly visible role, you'll take ownership of the corporate general ledger and the month-end close while working closely with senior leadership across multiple business units. As a highly visible role, so you'll need to be as comfortable presenting numbers as producing them.
What you'll do
- Own the corporate general ledger and manage the full month-end close
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements
- Manage WIP reporting and partner with the business on production cost visibility
- Support reconciliations, audit schedules, and a strong internal control environment
- Act as a key finance point of contact for senior leadership across business units
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in WIP (work in progress) reporting, POC (percent of completion) and cost accounting
- Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, plus solid grounding in cost accounting and inventory valuation
- Corporate accounting experience in related industries: heavy manufacturing, material production and manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, etc.
- Advanced Excel and hands-on ERP experience
- CPA, active or in progress, is a plus
