We are representing a high-growth, public company actively seeking an Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting to lead a team of 3–4 accounting professionals. As the Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting, you will own the company's financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable regulatory standards. You will lead and develop your team while partnering cross-functionally with accounting, audit, and finance to drive external reporting excellence and internal process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3–4 accountants, overseeing workload distribution, professional development, and performance
- Review and approve month-end journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation prepared by the team
- Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses across multiple entities
- Manage intercompany transactions and month-end balances across multiple entities
- Drive the monthly close process and coordinate internal and external reporting deliverables
- Ensure team compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies, serving as a technical resource for complex issues
- Evaluate current accounting processes and lead the implementation of scalable improvements
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and global teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Champion enhancements to accounting systems, ensuring alignment with GAAP and evolving technical standards
- Research and document technical accounting positions, providing clear guidance to stakeholders across the organization
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
- CPA required
- 7 years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, including prior leadership or supervisory responsibility; Big 4 public accounting background strongly preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP; experience with financial reporting for U.S. and international subsidiaries is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts for diverse audiences and multiple stakeholders
- Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- A collaborative leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial setting and is motivated to build and grow a high-performing team
Salary : $137,000 - $165,000
