Financial Business Analyst
Location: Melville, NY (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
Compensation: Up to $110,000 base salary bonus
Hoxton Circle is partnering with a growing, privately held electronics manufacturing organization seeking a Financial Business Analyst to join its finance team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and will play a key role in supporting commercial decision-making across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Analyze profitability, margins, pricing, and overall business performance
- Partner directly with Sales Leadership and Business Unit leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Evaluate customer profitability, product mix trends, and commercial performance
- Develop reporting and analysis that supports strategic business decisions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial modeling
- Identify operational trends, risks, and opportunities for improved performance
- Investigate data inconsistencies and recommend process improvements
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, including executive leadership
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3 years of FP&A, Financial Analysis, Commercial Finance, Strategic Finance, or Business Analysis experience
- Strong understanding of profitability, pricing, margins, and financial performance drivers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations
- Strong Excel and analytical capabilities
- Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating independently
Preferred Background
- Manufacturing, distribution, industrial, consumer products, or product-based business experience
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Exposure to sales performance analysis, customer profitability analysis, or commercial finance
