A growing specialty finance company headquartered in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations, manage a small team, and serve as a key financial partner to executive leadership. This is a high-visibility role with meaningful growth potential within a dynamic and expanding firm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and develop 2–3 on-site and remote/outsourced accounting staff
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure departmental compliance with policies and procedures
- Own GL management, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
- Collaborate with the CFO on monthly financial statement preparation
- Oversee journal entry process
- Support bank relationships, reporting, and periodic financial and bank audits
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Lead process improvement initiatives across the Accounting department and broader organization
- Oversee the annual 1099 process
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience & Education
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including time as manager
- Must have experience working in the financial services industry
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance with relevant accounting coursework
- CPA license preferred, or significant progress toward certification
- Skills
- Strong financial and operational accounting knowledge
- Solid financial analysis capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; SQL or Access experience a plus
- Experience with QuickBooks or other automated accounting systems
- Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills

Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
