Director of Accounting (Mandarin Speaking) | PE Backed - Multi-Entity Healthcare Platform | Queens, NY

A growing, PE-backed healthcare services platform in Queens, NY is hiring a Director of Accounting to lead the accounting function across multiple entities and brands.
This is a newly created role, built to bring the accounting function up to public-company standard ahead of a targeted future public offering 3-5 years down the line.
You'll own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, lead external audits, strengthen internal controls, and drive automation and ERP optimization, all while building and developing a team.

What you'll do:
- Lead accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities (3 companies with a combined $700m in annual revenue) contribute to the growth strategy of the company
- Oversee the close process end to end
- Lead annual external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance
- Drive process improvement, automation, and ERP optimization
- Build and mentor a team (currently 6 with potential for more hiring)
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, IT, Payroll, and executive leadership
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
- 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3 years in a people leadership
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and audit management
- Experience managing teams across a multi-entity, multi-brand, or multi-location environment
- Healthcare, home care, RCM, payroll-heavy, or other regulated-industry experience preferred

Details:
- Location: 3 days a week in Flushing
- Compensation: $180k - $200k 15% target cash bonus
Salary : $185,000 - $200,000
