Accountant

Accountant Position – Medical Device Industry | Long Island, NY

Our client, a fast-growing healthcare and medical device company, backed by an established international parent group, at a genuine inflection point. The business is moving into a brand new Long Island office within the next month, and they're hiring an Accountant to help drive the finance function forward.

This isn't a narrow, box-ticking role. It's hands-on operational accounting with real breadth, the kind of exposure that actually builds a career. You'll work alongside an AP/AR Specialist and report to a Senior Accounting Manager. Whether you're an Accountant hungry to grow or a Junior Accountant ready to step up to Senior level, this is a platform to do it.

What you'll own:

• Month-end close, journal entries, and clean supporting documentation
• Account, corporate credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Vendor payments, expense classification, and employee expense reviews
• Cash and customer account monitoring, plus discrepancy resolution
• Billing and utility payments across multiple properties
• Prepaid expense and fixed asset schedules, including depreciation
• Monthly sales and commission reporting and analysis
• Budget monitoring, variance investigation, and cost classification
• Audit support and regulatory compliance
• Process improvements that strengthen controls and efficiency
• Cross-functional guidance and special projects

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• 3 years of accounting experience (healthcare or medical device a plus)
• Strong GAAP and accrual-based accounting knowledge
• Solid reconciliation and financial reporting experience
• Excel proficiency and ERP skills (Macola a bonus)
• Sharp analytical, problem-solving, and organizational instincts
• High attention to detail and the ability to juggle priorities
• A process-oriented mindset and a fast-paced work ethic

The details:

• Salary: $65,000–$80,000, depending on experience
• Fully onsite, five days a week
