A Career Built on More Than a Paycheck
Some companies are built with money. Others are built with work ethic, sacrifice, and a calling to do something greater.
Howl at the Moon Mechanicals was built from nothing but hard work, determination, and a belief that honest people doing exceptional work can build something that lasts.
We're here to solve real challenges, serve our Adirondack communities with honor and compassion, and create opportunities for people who take pride in their craft.
Our foundation is built on five core values: Integrity, Excellence, Trust, Loyalty, and Legacy.
These aren't just words on a wall. They define how we treat customers, support teammates, and make decisions when nobody is watching.
We believe experienced technicians deserve respect for the knowledge they've earned, leadership that listens, and the opportunity to build a career without sacrificing their lives outside of work.
We're looking for an experienced HVAC service professional who can work independently, diagnose challenging heating problems, and take ownership of delivering exceptional service.
If you know your trade, take pride in doing things right, and want to be part of something bigger, we'd like to meet you.
Work Hard. Have a Life. No On-Call.
We know how demanding HVAC service can be in the Adirondack Mountains, especially during our long heating season.
We also believe being a great technician shouldn't mean sacrificing every evening and weekend.
That's why we've designed this position around a standard 40-hour workweek, rotating 10-hour shifts, and no on-call requirement.
Your rotating schedule:
- Week 1: Work Monday–Thursday, four 10-hour shifts. Friday through Monday off.
- Week 2: Work Tuesday–Friday, four 10-hour shifts. Saturday and Sunday off.
- Repeat.
During peak heating season, occasional longer days may be necessary to serve customers who need us. When overtime is worked, it's paid at time and a half.
Our goal is not to have technicians routinely working until 9:00 PM or turning every workday into a marathon.
We want you to work hard, earn a strong living, and still have meaningful time for family, friends, and the life you're building outside the trade.
Building a Company Worth Being Proud Of
Our vision is ambitious: build a community of leaders, raise the standard of excellence in HVAC, and grow to 50 technicians by 2032.
But we're not interested in growing just to become bigger.
We want to build something better.
A company where experienced technicians help develop the next generation. Where integrity matters more than shortcuts. Where loyalty is earned, excellence is expected, and leadership comes from within.
We want professionals who take ownership of their work, don't need someone standing over their shoulder, and understand that their reputation is built one customer at a time.
You're not just joining a service department. You're helping shape the standard future technicians will follow.
Your Work Matters in the Adirondacks
In the Adirondack Mountains, heating isn't a luxury. It's essential to the safety, comfort, and well-being of the families who live here.
When a boiler fails in January or an oil furnace stops working during a cold spell, homeowners need a technician who knows what they're doing.
Someone who can diagnose the problem, explain the solution honestly, and make the repair correctly.
Our primary focus is residential heating service and maintenance, including fuel oil and propane systems, boilers, furnaces, and hydronic heating equipment.
We also install and service air conditioning and ductless systems, including Viessmann boilers, Daikin equipment, and GE mini-splits.
Every service call is an opportunity to protect someone's home, earn their trust, and strengthen the reputation of our team.
