What will I be doing?
ü Administer employee status changes and personnel actions, ensuring accurate maintenance of employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data
ü Assist with benefits administration activities as needed, including supporting enrollments, employee status changes, and responses to employee inquiries
ü Prepare and process check requests and purchase orders
ü Complete employment verifications, education reimbursement requests, and other HR-related transactions
ü Coordinate meetings, schedule appointments, and provide logistical support for HR initiatives, training programs, and agency-wide events as needed
ü Administer employee recognition programs and support employee engagement initiatives and activities
ü Generate, maintain, and distribute employee reports, HR metrics, and workforce data as requested
ü Provide administrative support for recruitment and onboarding activities, including coordinating background checks, processing new hire paperwork, supporting orientation activities, and ensuring all onboarding requirements are completed accurately and on time
ü Conduct periodic audits of personnel records and HR data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards
ü Assist with HR projects, process improvements, special assignments, and other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals
Key Qualifications
ü Background in Human Resources
ü Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ü Organizational skills and attention to detail
ü Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
ü Knowledge of HRMS
Do you have…
ü A degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
ü Less than 1 year of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school, or in job-related duties
