What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Inspector position at HouseMaster Home Inspections?
Licensed Home Inspector – Build Your Career Without Building a Business
What if you could focus on what you love:
inspecting homes
without the burden of running a business?
And finishing reports in 10 min with AI
instead of 2h working late in the evening?
Most inspectors don’t fail because they lack skill… they burn out trying to manage everything else: marketing, scheduling, reports, payments, claims, operations.
At HouseMaster, we’ve already built the platform. You bring your expertise. We handle the rest. Instead of starting from zero, you step into a system designed to help you grow faster, earn more, and enjoy the work again.
Why This Role Is Different
- No business headaches – we manage marketing, scheduling, billing, and operations
- Steady volume of inspections – focus on production, not chasing leads
- AI-powered reporting – finish your report on-site, not hours later at home
- Established national brand – 30 years in Orlando, strong reputation, high client trust
- Career growth path – expand into advanced services and increase earnings
This is for inspectors who want to master their craft, not manage a company.
What You’ll Do
- Perform residential inspections and ancillary services
- (4-point, wind mitigation, WDO, and more)
- Communicate findings clearly to clients on-site
- Continuously expand your technical knowledge and services
What Makes You a Strong Fit
We are not looking for checklist inspectors.
We are looking for professionals who:
1. Communicate Exceptionally Well
You can translate technical findings into clear, confident explanations.
Clients trust you because you make complex issues easy to understand.
2. Think Like an Investigator
You don’t just note defects—you ask:
- Why is this happening?
- What could this lead to?
You connect the dots. You probe. You go deeper.
Requirements
- Active Florida Home Inspector License (ideally 2 years preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude. Love to learn and grow.
- Tech-savvy (mobile apps, cloud-based tools)
- Native English. (Spanish and Portuguese re a plus)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle ( we can offer vehicle if needed)
What We Offer
- Paid training (60–120 days depending on experience)
- Industry-leading tools and AI reporting technology
- Supportive team environment with real growth opportunities
- Access to advanced training for services (mold, IR, drone, sewer scope, and more)
The Bottom Line
If your goal is to start a business, this role is not for you.
If your goal is to become a top-level inspector, earn consistently, and enjoy your work without the stress of running a company, we should talk.
