Farm Manager

Oversee all operations of a poultry farm to ensure optimal bird health and compliance with animal welfare standards. Key tasks include supervising staff, managing and maintaining feed and water systems, managing and maintaining ventilation and lighting systems, and preparing the farm for the placement and removal of poultry.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities: 

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the poultry farm 

• Ensure that all aspects of the farm are running efficiently and effectively 

• Hire, train, and supervise farm employees 

• Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of the poultry 

• Develop and implement protocols for biosecurity, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability 

• Manage the budget and financial performance of the farm 

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations 

• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain the farm's operations and profitability 

  Requirements: 

  • Knowledge of poultry/animal farming practices and procedures and disease management 
  • Experience in managing a farming business is recommended.
