Position Summary: The Development Assistant will assist in marketing initiatives, manage Google Ads, research, write, and submit grants and grant reports, and collect and maintain programmatic data. This position is part of the House of Hope team, and consequently, will interact daily with the House of Hope Staff, Volunteers, Donors, and Participants.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Research new and current Grants and Funding Opportunities.
- Submit requests for funding from appropriate sources that are aligned with the mission of the House of Hope.
- Keep track of and submit reports to all funders as requested.
- Assist and eventually lead marketing initiatives.
- Track analytics and evaluate marketing initiatives.
- Assist Development Director in maintaining donor relations and speaking engagements.
- Track donors and grants in database.
- Work with Development Director on administrative needs.
- Maintain data as well as create, along with Executive Director and Development Team, a quarterly newsletter to send to all donors and supporters of HOH.
- Assist Development Team in the planning and implementation of events.
- Work with Office Manager to understand all areas of the budget and financials.
- Work with Case Management Team in data tracking system and maintain monthly stats.
- Work with Development Director and Office Manager to understand and track all grant requests and programmatic expenses.
- Adhere to confidentiality policies.
- Possess an understanding of House of Hope processes in order to provide accurate information and represent the organization in a positive manner.
- In the absence of the Development Director, the Development Assistant will cover all donor questions and marketing needs.
- Greet the public, including volunteers, donors, and potential program participants, and facilitate a warm and welcoming environment during regular business hours.
- Receive donations during regular business hours, assisting as needed with unloading items, sorting and shelving.
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to answering incoming calls and occasionally taking messages as appropriate.
