We are a fast-growing construction company specializing in HOTEL RENOVATION SERVICES. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction for leading hospitality brands. We are seeking a Construction Estimator WITH EXPERIENCE IN HOTEL/HOSPITALITY to join our expanding team and support our bidding and pre-construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Perform quantity take-offs and analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Coordinate and assist with project scheduling
- Prepare and maintain project schedules in coordination with the project manager and field teams.
- Support project setup by obtaining required permits and licenses from towns or building departments.
- Update schedules as estimates turn into active projects to ensure smooth project transitions.
- Monitor material and vendor lead times to prevent scheduling conflicts or delays.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors during the bidding process.
- Request, review, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Develop detailed proposals and present estimates to leadership for review.
- Maintain and update historical cost data and pricing libraries for future projects.
- Assist with budget development, change order pricing, and value engineering.
- Ensure estimates align with project schedules, scope of work, and client requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as an Estimator in construction (hotel or commercial renovation).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., STACK, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Excel.
- Project scheduling and coordination
- Permit coordination and tracking
- Familiarity with building department procedures
- Compliance and documentation management
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities when working with vendors and subcontractors.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Knowledge
- Experience with hospitality renovations and phased construction projects.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
