What are the responsibilities and job description for the Endoscopy Technician position at Hospital Sisters Health System?
- Full-time, 40 hrs/week (4 x 10), Wed- off
- On call- 30 minute response time. Call requirements- 1 weekend 7-8 weeks and 3 weekdays /months
The Endoscopy Technician will prepare and maintain medical endoscopic instruments, equipment, and sterile set-up according to manufacturer recommendations and facility standards. The position provides overall safety checks to verify proper equipment functioning, room preparations, positions or transports patients, assistant physicians and nurses, and conducts in-service training sessions to disseminate information regarding equipment or instruments.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience
1 year healthcare experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
Nursing Assistant certification, Certified Medical Assistant, or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is preferred.
