Business Development Associate (M-F, 8a-5p)

This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Travel required within our service area including but not limited to: Forsyth County, western Guilford County, and Northern Davidson County.

This position’s primary responsibility is to educate and promote Hospice of the Piedmont and its programs to the long-term care community, provider offices, other targeted referral sources, and the community at large. This position develops and implements results-oriented, innovative education, customer service, account management and marketing strategies within the community to promote timely, appropriate patient referrals and excellence in end-of-life care. The associate is a key component of the agency’s marketing program and initiative under the direction of the Director, Business Development and in full compliance with all regulatory requirements and accepted standards of practice.

Essential Duties

• Establishes and maintains on-going contact, trust, and rapport with long-term care facilities, assigned physicians, senior centers, and other community referral sources to cultivate growth of all agency services.
• Builds and manages a pipeline of prospective referral relationships to consistently grow admissions volume.
• Troubleshoots and resolves any barriers or concerns raised by referral sources regarding the admissions process.
• Promotes hospice and palliative care and freely communicates the benefits and qualifications for all agency services.
• Plans and implements educational in-services, workshops, and seminars for referral sources, including participation in health fairs, resident care activities, and other outreach opportunities.
• Assists in the development of the annual marketing plan, development of marketing materials targeted to referral sources and coordination or marketing activities
  
  

Requirements

• BA in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications or related field preferred; High School Diploma or GED with directly related experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, healthcare marketing, community outreach, or a related field.
• Flexibility for occasional evening/weekend events (community outreach, health fairs, education sessions)
