Shipping Clerk - Manufacturing
We are looking for a Shipping Clerk to manage outbound shipments in a steel building manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for making sure orders are accurate, organized, and shipped on time. The position works closely with production, loaders, and drivers to keep shipments moving without delays.
The Role
You will be coordinating and verifying outgoing orders while working between the shop and shipping area. This is not just paperwork—this role requires awareness of what is being loaded, how it is staged, and making sure everything leaves correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipments based on production schedules
- Verify orders before loading to ensure accuracy
- Prepare shipping paperwork and load documentation
- Work with forklift operators and loaders to move shipments out
- Communicate with drivers on pickup details and load information
- Keep shipments staged, organized, and ready for loading
- Track outgoing orders and stay aligned with schedule changes
What We're Looking For
- Someone who stays organized when multiple orders are moving at once
- Strong attention to detail—errors in shipping go directly to the customer
- Ability to communicate clearly with production and drivers
- Someone who takes ownership of their work and follows through
- Able to stay steady and productive in a busy environment
Experience & Skills
- Shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Basic computer skills required for paperwork and tracking
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) is strongly preferred
Work Conditions
- Active manufacturing environment
- Indoor and outdoor work depending on loading activity
- Regular interaction with shop and shipping personnel

- PPE required when on the shop floor
