Responsible for receiving and verifying all inbound shipments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving
Signs all bills of lading, verifies the shipper's signature, and retains the total container count. Responsible for entering all receipts into the AS400 inventory system. Assembles purchase order receiving labels and affixes labels to received products prior to distribution. Builds all pallets of received goods per the guidelines for warehouse storage. Responsible for all paperwork related to purchase orders. Responsible for verifying the accuracy of the quantity received against the quantity ordered of goods. Reports any discrepancies to the Shipping/Receiving Manager. Works with accounts payable as needed to reconcile any discrepancies in purchase orders.
- Quality Control
Inspects raw materials received for damage prior to transferring to the appropriate manufacturing destinations. Notifies the Quality Control Department of problems with received raw materials and finished goods, and coordinates inspection of vinyl containers with the Quality Control Department.
- Organizing
Responsible for unloading all containers received. Coordinates the distribution of content received to its appropriate locations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to frequently stand/walk.
- Ability to become certified to operate a forklift and a pallet jack.
- Ability to frequently lift to 50lbs
- Ability to occasionally maintain a sitting position.
- Frequent use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions
