Horner & Shifrin is seeking a Senior Pursuit Specialist to support the firm’s business development and marketing efforts. This role is critical to the success of proposal development and pursuit strategy, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and compelling submissions for new and existing clients. This position requires 5 years of experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Manage the full proposal development process from start to finish, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of submissions.
- Review client RFPs/RFQs, identify requirements, assign responsibilities, and develop and maintain proposal schedules.
- Coordinate and communicate proposal progress, including tracking milestones, facilitating meetings, and reporting status updates.
- Facilitate proposal kickoff meetings and facilitate review sessions to ensure alignment and quality.
- Write, edit, proofread, and produce high-quality proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Design and format complex proposals using Adobe InDesign, ensuring brand consistency and visual effectiveness.
- Develop interview materials such as presentation decks, storyboards, and leave-behind collateral.
- Coordinate with internal teams and sub-consultants to gather and manage proposal content.
- Maintain version control, document management, and proposal libraries for efficiency and consistency.
- Track proposal outcomes and maintain CRM data and metrics.
- Support Business Development teams in creating marketing collateral.
- Assist in training and mentoring staff on proposal processes.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and company standards.
- Maintain marketing databases and proposal content libraries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- 5–10 years of experience in A/E/C marketing or proposal coordination preferred.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign required).
- Experience with marketing databases and tools (e.g., OpenAsset, Canva, CRM systems).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, and/or Marketing
SALARY RANGE:
Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
