What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Electrical Engineer position at Horner & Shifrin, Inc.?
Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer to work in our Building Services unit. This position requires 5 years of experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Design of electrical lighting, power, and auxiliary systems for education, recreational, commercial, housing, and healthcare buildings. Projects also include water/wastewater, and the education sector
- Prepare electrical, low voltage and special systems project construction documents and specifications
- Assist in the preparation of project fees and budgets
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (required)
- Project Management experience, preferred
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code
- Strong ability to work in both AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience in building electrical systems preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to traverse sites, including walking over rough terrain
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must complete a background check
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
SALARY RANGE:
Salary will be commensurate with experience
