Horner and Shifrin is seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10 years' experience. This position requires understanding of mechanical designs and calculations for HVAC systems. Responsibilities will include design, load analysis, site surveys, RFI, and submittal reviews.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES/DUTIES:
- Design of Mechanical HVAC, Chilled and Hot Water Piping, Steam and Building Automation systems for education, commercial, municipal and healthcare buildings.
- Responsible for preparing Mechanical systems project construction documents and specifications.
- QA/QC other Mechanical engineers
- Coordinate design information between disciplines
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Knowledge of Plumbing, Medical Gas, Natural Gas and Fire Protection systems and design is a benefit.
- Knowledge of Trace 3D
- Knowledge of REVIT
- Ability to research related codes and standards to ensure design compliance
- Ability to traverse sites, including walking through projects under construction
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Critical thinking and analysis
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must complete a background check
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Mechanical systems.
SALARY RANGE:
Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $110,000-$145,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
