Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Cache/IRIS databases, ensuring seamless integration across various systems.
- Update and maintain documentation and processes while complying with regulatory standards.
- Monitor database alerts for system capacity and potential issues, providing resolution documentation as needed.
- Participate in disaster recovery simulations and offer feedback to enhance current plans.
- Collaborate with vendors during application installations to meet database requirements.
- Develop utilities, scripts, and data structures consistent with the organization's database architecture.
- Four-year degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent IT experience.
- Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting and a solid understanding of technical infrastructure components.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, coupled with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in writing technical documentation and interpreting business documents.
- Understanding of LAN and WAN networks and basic disaster recovery principles.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including participation in an on-call rotation.
- Three years of experience in designing, maintaining, and administering Cache/IRIS Databases.
- Proficiency in IRIS Object Script, Ansible, Python, and PowerShell.
- Experience with tools like IRIS Studio, DB Visualizer, VSCode, and GitHub.
- Epic System Manager Certification and prior healthcare industry experience.
