Position Summary – Assistant Bookkeeper
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Entry-Level Bookkeeper to join our growing family-owned pest control company. This role is responsible for supporting the daily financial operations of the business, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with bookkeeping and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, comfortable working independently, and experienced with QuickBooks.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
- Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable using our CRM software
- Process customer payments and vendor invoices
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense tracking
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management
- Maintain organized financial and customer records
- Assist with budgeting and expense tracking
- Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and team members
- Support office operations and administrative tasks as needed
- Help ensure compliance with company procedures and financial policies
Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or office administration experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced small business environment
