We’re looking for a caring and energetic Pre-K Teacher Assistant-Floater to support classroom instruction, foster positive child development, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment. If you love working with young children and are committed to their success, we want to hear from you!
As a Teacher Assistant-Floater you’ll have the opportunity to provide support across various sites based on operational needs, implementing curriculum, supervising children, and fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. This full-time position assists with assessments, parent engagement, and school readiness activities to help children thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily classroom activities and child supervision
- Support curriculum implementation aligned with NAEYC and Head Start standards
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment
- Conduct developmental screenings and maintain child progress records
- Engage with parents to support family and community involvement
- Participate in professional development and team collaboration
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or Preschool CDA endorsement or ability to obtain an PK CDA within 10 months of employment
- Experience in a preschool setting or working with young children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team
- Basic computer skills to facilitate communication within the agency
- A collaborative mindset with a commitment to the mission of supporting children, families and communities
