We’re looking for a caring and energetic Pre-K Teacher Assistant to support classroom instruction, foster positive child development, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment. If you love working with young children and are committed to their success, we want to hear from you!
As a Teacher Assistant, you’ll support the lead teacher in implementing curriculum, supervising children, and fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. This part-time position supports developmentally appropriate activities and fosters child engagement to promote growth and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily classroom activities and child supervision.
- Support curriculum implementation aligned with NAEYC and Head Start standards.
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment
- Conduct developmental screenings and maintain child progress records.
- Engage with parents to support family and community involvement.
- Participate in professional development and team collaboration.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or Child Development Associate (CDA).
- Experience in a preschool setting or working with young children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team
- Basic computer skills to facilitate communication within the agency
- A collaborative mindset with a commitment to the mission of supporting children, families and communities
