What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Community Engagement Specialist position at Hope Community Resources, Inc.?
As our Summer Camp Day Staff, you will implement a wide variety of recreational, artistic expression, and skill building activities to maximize support recipients’ physical, social, and cognitive skills. Every day we'll rely on you to teach activities of daily living and foster social independence. To thrive in this role, you should be passionate about helping people experiencing disabilities and comfortable with personal care. We'll teach you everything else you need to know.
Must be able to drive and feel comfortable transporting camp participants to activities.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm (40 hours a week) and applicants must be willing to work this schedule from May 19th, 2026 to July 31st, 2026.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED; and
- One year of applied verifiable experience working, interning, or volunteering directly within a formalized recreation or therapeutic art program or leading structured group activities preferred; or
- One year of directly related experience supporting individuals that demonstrate challenging and/or aggressive behaviors, preferred.
