Operations Team Lead
Hoover CS is looking for safety-oriented Team Lead who enjoys working side by side with the employees and has strong decision-making skills. Experience leading a small group of 5 to 10 employees in a warehouse environment is required. Knowledge of reconditioning catalyst bins for DOT compliance is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development and practice of ZERO HARM policies.
- Satisfy Hoover CS’s expectations regarding quality, timeliness, communications, and other areas.
- Maintain and ensure that all SOPs are being followed.
- Ensure compliance with company policy, especially HSE and operational performance.
- Support personnel activities such as selection, training, or evaluation.
- Maintain operational compliance with applicable regulations.
- Responsible for catalyst transfers (i.e. Drums to bins, bags to bin, etc.).
- Must be able to paint, scrap and apply decal stickers to tanks.
- Handle parts, materials, equipment, and tools used in the assembly process or to be shipped.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience in warehouse operations.
- 1-2 years demonstrated ability to lead a small team.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of regulations surrounding packaging and shipment dangerous and hazardous materials.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and email).
- Background in the refining/petrochemical catalyst industry is a plus.
- Strong background in safety.
- Knowledge of PPE and SDS sheets.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to wear a full face or half face respirator for up to 40% of shift.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. frequently.
- Strenuous physical effort which requires standing on a concrete floor for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Good visual acuity.
Work Environment:
- This position is in an unairconditioned warehouse environment.
- Working around hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
- Will be working in different weather conditions.
- Subject to loud noises.
Monday - Friday 6:00am to 4:00pm
Salary : $19 - $25
