Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and looking for a rewarding career in banking? Honor Bank is seeking a Mortgage Specialist to join our Residential Lending team at our Honor Branch.
In this role, you'll work behind the scenes to ensure mortgage loans move smoothly from funding through post-closing. You'll collaborate with lenders, underwriters, title companies, investors, and teammates across the bank to provide an outstanding experience for our customers while maintaining the highest quality and compliance standards.
What You'll Do
As a Mortgage Specialist, you'll:
- Process and fund residential mortgage loans accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare mortgage payoffs and clear outstanding loan conditions.
- Review loan documentation for quality and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with title companies and investors to obtain required documentation.
- Organize and maintain loan files within our document imaging system.
- Provide support to the Residential Lending team while assisting with special projects and departmental initiatives.

After approximately one year, you'll have opportunities to expand your responsibilities into construction loan draws, investor reporting, quality control reporting, and additional mortgage servicing functions.

- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A commitment to confidentiality and sound judgment
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in mortgage lending, banking, loan operations, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
