Key Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Advanced Automation & OT Engineer, you will be responsible for the hands-on design and implementation of control systems and Robotics solutions. The key objectives for this engineer include supporting OT (Operational Technology) function within manufacturing by working with IT and manufacturing sites on implementing digital factory initiative activities and projects.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing equipment and manufacturing applications, including machine controls, interfaces, programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), software, data tracking and other areas.
- Act as liaison between IT and site manufacturing engineering teams to support and manage OT equipment and applications including cyber security prevention and mitigation activities.
- Manage large-scale automation projects with external automation vendors.Lead the development of system requirements and SOW.
- Analyze production lines and process steps necessary to manufacture products. Develop plans to automate certain processes or entire production lines as needed.
- Coordinate with other engineering areas, production and other functions to ensure that automation and digital initiative requirements are integrated into overall manufacturing processes.
- Provide guidance and support to Automation personnel in Honeywell manufacturing sites.
- Develop and define standards for common automation applications within Honeywell manufacturing. Create standards and automation engineering documents.
- Lead the development and management of key automation suppliers.
Geographic location: Preferred locations for this position are in Charlotte NC or Phoenix AZ
- Approximate travel required ~50%
