The Marketing Leader, Sustainable Building Technologies is a visionary and evangelist for Sustainability product offerings & customer marketing within Honeywell Building Technologies.  This individual is responsible for breakthrough ideation and incubation, value propositions, financial impact for portfolio decisions, VCM (including pricing strategies), offering launches, marketing messaging, & Annual Operating Plan (AOP), aftermarket strategy, continuously improving the Offering Management process. The Marketing Leader will manage every product aspect of the product from conceptualization to launch, and work to ensure its market success. 

In this highly impactful role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to create strong working relationships and influence across product management, engineering, and other stakeholder groups across our business.  The incumbent will have a track record of delivering new offerings across multiple product lines, regions, and channel strategies as well as fostering breakthrough initiatives. The role is in Atlanta, GA and will report to the VPGM – Sustainable Building Technologies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Product management and product life cycle expertise with a proven track record of delivering next generation solutions.
  • Proven track record of new product launches, in market success, and scaling a business in both Hardware and Software.
  • Strong technical competency and diversity, confident in contemporary software practices, open source, data management, analytics, platforms, IoT, and “as a service” solutions.
  • General business, sales, and engineering acumen with a solid understanding of budgets, business models, and agile development.
  • P&L or front office budget responsibility.
  • Ability to lead and manage in a matrixed organization delivering on time, on budget, and on spec with a history of outpacing market performance.
  • Familiarity with Customer Success and Recurring Revenue Model Businesses.
  • Experience with MVP (Minimum Viable Product) approach – experience introducing basic features to the get the attention of the customer. Then releasing the final product/products to the market after getting sufficient feedback from these customers.
  • Channel GTM-Go to Market experience with a new technology.
  • Experience driving enterprise Cultural changes into Product and Engineering teams.
  • Experience in developing the value propositions.
  • Experience in developing the simple messaging and story to customers to communicate the key value of solutions and offerings.
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills with a keen sense for problem solving and agility.
  • High energy, passionate performer, that inspires and motivates others.
  • Unquestionable ethics, integrity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Relevant domain experience in Honeywell’s BMS markets (Buildings, Healthcare, Critical Environment, and Hospitality) a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working cross-functionally across sales, internal/external customers, analysts, marketing, engineering, and senior management teams to formulate and execute product strategy.
  • Defining and developing the product road map for the Building Management Systems business.
  • Being accountable for roadmap, product lifecycle and product management processes.
  • Managing day-to-day product management activities and shared learnings, best practices, and cross business synergies.
  • New product innovation and delivery against an annual operating plan (AOP).
  • Influencing go-to-market decisions and business models.
  • Discovering and implementing new funding models to support the growth.
  • Building, mentoring, and inspiring a high-performance team in a matrixed environment; attract, assess, and retain exceptional talent and foster a culture of collaboration and learning.
  • Collaborating with Engineering, other GBEs (especially Building Management Systems, Projects & Services), Connected Leadership, and key stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
