Job Description
As a Sr. Flight Test Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for leading and conducting flight tests to evaluate the performance and capabilities of aircraft systems and components. Your role will involve developing and executing complex test plans and procedures, designing test systems on experimental test aircraft, and working closely with Maintenance Technicians to install test equipment. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to identify and resolve complex issues, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location.

Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct flight tests to evaluate the performance and capabilities of aircraft systems and components
- Develop and execute complex test plans and procedure
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve complex issues related to scheduling of test aircraft and installation of experimental or certified systems.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as aerospace engineering or related field
- 6 years of experience in conducting flight tests and designing and installing test systems onto Flight Test Aircraft
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency with 2D drafting software, Autocad preferred
- Proficiency with 3D CAD, (Solidworks, Creo, NX)
- Experience with aircraft wiring standards and best practices
- Experience with avionics system integration
- Passion for aviation and commitment to safety
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lead and mentor a team
