As a Sr Materials Management Analyst here at Honeywell, you will support and improve the supply chain planning & execution process, manage materials planning, and resolve supply chain issues. Responsibilities
- Work across departments to ensure proper material quantities are quoted in the proposal phase (i.e. engineering samples, testing samples, production materials, etc.)
- Understand and analyze internal yield assumptions to determine quantity required from supplier
- Develop current, accurate and complete material cost estimates utilizing latest material pricing.
- Determine fair and reasonableness of a material estimate through approved methods; to include market analysis, historical price analysis, and competition.
- Basic Knowledge of Material Management and Purchase Order (PO) Management
- Analyze Bill of Material (BOM) for sourcing to supply base while selecting the most accurate and qualified sources of supply for each component.
- Daily use of Critical Thinking to achieve more efficient operations and processes
- Coordinate obsolescence issues between suppliers and Engineering for replacement or alternate parts.
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple efforts simultaneously.
- High School Graduate
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- Advanced Excel skills (including Vlookup, pivot, charting, macros a plus)
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a US person under US export laws or, eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license. A US Person includes a US citizen, lawful Permanent Resident, refugee or asylee.
- Ability to expedite and negotiate supplier proposals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or relevant field
- 5-7 years' relevant experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in materials finance/analysis, estimating, and planning with a strong analytical approach
- Experience with Power BI
- Be able to conduct a Cost and Price Analysis review of a supplier proposal exceeding applicable thresholds
- Prior experience developing materials cost proposals
- Knowledge of Indentured Bills of Materials
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Lead and mentor production team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor production metrics and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- 3 years of experience in production supervision or related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Proficiency in production management software and tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing.
