As a Facilities Maintenance Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in maintaining and ensuring the operational efficiency of our physical facilities. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the upkeep of building systems to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all employees and visitors.
You will report directly to our Facilities Manager and you’ll work out of our Urbana, OH location on an On-site work schedule. 1st Shift Mon-Fri, 5:00 am to 1:00 pm
In this role, you will impact the overall functionality and safety of our facilities, contributing directly to the productivity and success of our operations by ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building systems and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and assist in managing service contracts.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory of supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including HVAC system maintenance, plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and general building repairs
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly
- Respond to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and systems
- Provide support during facility emergencies and participate in emergency response drills
YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair facility-related issues efficiently.
- Experience with maintenance management systems and inventory control.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance requirements related to facilities maintenance.
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Facilities Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and energy-saving practices.
