Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a hardworking, eager Maintenance Professional to join our team. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals with a wide variety of skill sets. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly while observing all health and safety guidelines and take pride in the standards and services they deliver to our tenants.

Required Qualifications:

· High school graduate, GED, or further education.

· Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle.

· 2 years experience in general building maintenance, construction, general contracting, or handyman services.

· Plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance repair and electrical experience preferred.

· Ability to work independently, stay organized, keep records and problem solve.

· Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician must have the ability to effectively communicate to vendors, tenants, and management verbally and in written forms. It is imperative that solid customer skills be used and present in frequent work situations.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician must be a team player and demonstrate willingness to learn new ideas, as well as the ability to present new ideas to their manager. They also must be pro-active, have a good attitude, be self-disciplined and a self-starter.

Must have the ability to solve practical problems without close supervision and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.

Position Responsibilities:

• Complete/follow up with Maintenance requests in conjunction with the Property Manager and Facilities Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain the grounds, facility, equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
• Perform manual repairs as necessary – replacing ceiling tiles, power washing exterior sidewalks and entrances, fix locks and windows, spraying weeds, picking up trash, and pest control.
• Effective use of hand tools and power tools
• Primary responsibilities include painting, home remodeling, cleaning, minor plumbing, electrical work and landscaping
• Performs a variety of routine physical labor tasks, depending upon area of assignment, including lawn management, pulling weeds, picking up litter, raking leaves and debris, planting, replacing light bulbs, and moving furniture
• Performs cleanup at the end of the day or when the job is completed, including picking up tools, spills, and debris cleaning work areas and performing touch up work as needed
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Work Environment:

• Perform heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling
• Work indoors and outdoors year-round
• Climb ladders
• Walk, crawl, sit, stand, squat, bend, twist
• Safely and properly use/operate tools, vehicles, and machinery
• Ability to walk up/down multiple story properties.
• “On call” rotation (this may require after-hours travel to and from property)

Schedule:

• Flexible Schedule
• Weekend availability from time to time for specific projects

Experience:

• Maintenance: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired

Work Location: In person, located in Jeffersonville, Ohio
