As an Electrician / Journeyman Electrician here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, constructs, modifies, assembles, calibrates, installs, and maintains electrical and electronic high or low voltage circuitry systems and equipment.
Our South Bend Honeywell Facility comprises of Wheel & Brake machining, Carbon brake manufacturing and Fuel control systems.
You will report directly to our Maintenance Supervisor and you’ll work out of our South Bend, IN location on an On-site work schedule.

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working on CNC machines, various heat treat furnaces, and also jet fuel installations for test purposes.
- Installs conduit from machines to power sources, sizes wire to meet current and voltage requirements, installs new wiring for plant, office, and equipment expansions, and retrofits the electrical components of plant machines and equipment if a production process addition or modification has been made.
- Tools used in the performance of job tasks include, but are not limited to, standard electricians hand tools including, DVM, and various test gear and a laptop computer.
- Willing to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, weekends and Overtime as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- This position requires an Electrician Journeyman card or 4 years of equivalent Electrician experience working in an industrial / manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Due to export control restrictions, candidates must be a US Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Willing to join a union Honeywell AALS is represented by UAW, Local #9.
- Candidates will satisfactorily complete pre-employment requirements such as a background check, drug screen, and meet the physical requirements of this position.
- Qualified candidates must have experience in electrical work including knowledge of programmable machine controls.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Applicants must also be able to read blueprints and have solid troubleshooting and repair skills.
