Homeworthy offers comprehensive programs and services to adults, families, and youth in Midcoast Maine. We deliver wrap-around programming and support to our clients, including Comprehensive Case Management services, The Hospitality House Family Shelter, and The Landing Place Youth Program. All staff at Homeworthy play a vital role in supporting our mission of breaking cycles of poverty and homelessness in Midcoast Maine. The Human Resources Assistant provides essential support to Homeworthy’s most important asset, our staff!
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant:
- Maintains and organizes human resources records and filing systems, in both electronic and physical formats
- Provides initial employee onboarding, including review of paperwork, policies, benefits, and agency overview
- Performs background checks as required
- Monitors employee training and compliance requirements for all employees
The successful candidate will be an excellent problem solver, highly organized, and enjoy working within a growing agency that is
making a difference in the lives of families in Midcoast Maine.
Skills and attributes:
- Proficient with current technology, including Google Workspace, payroll, and/or HR employee information systems
- Ability to maintain employee confidentiality
- Sense of humor and a strong desire to learn
- Systems thinker with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team
This is a full-time (32 hours/week), non-exempt position with competitive hourly pay of $22-26 based on experience.
